Filsa BV was established in February 2012. Filsa Capital made an investment in iWelcome (www.iwelcome.com) in December 2012. A second investment was made in LUXeXceL (www.luxexcel.com) in December 2013.

In addition, Filsa Consultancy advised various companies regarding the regulatory situation in the telecommunication and cable sector in Europe.

Filsa Consultancy advised also companies in relation to their capital and legal structures and supported these companies to implement changes to these structures.

This involved working with other highly experienced (former) executives, informal investors and venture capital firms.

Ton Tuijten

Ton has more than 25 years experience in the Telecommunications, Internet and IT sector.

He is currently member of the Supervisory Board of iWelcome B.V. and acts as secretary of the Supervisory Board of LUXeXceL Holding B.V.

Ton is also an Associate Partner at Improved Corporate Finance B.V. (www.improvedcf.com). ImprovedCF is an M&A boutique focusing on mid-market, cross-border deals in a wide range of sectors.

Before that he served as General Counsel Europe of Liberty Global Inc. (http://www.lgi.com). He was responsible for all legal, compliance, regulatory and lobbying activities of the company. He had an important role in the merger and acquisition activities of the company. He was also a member of the management team and board member at the various subsidiaries and affiliates.

From 1998 - 2005 he worked as General Counsel and was member of the Board of Directors at UPC the predecessor of LGI Europe. He was closely involved in the financial restructuring of the company between 2001 and 2003.

Before that he worked from 1987 - 1992 as a senior lawyer at KPN and from 1992 -1998 he was General Counsel of Unisource NV

Ton received the "European General Counsel of the Year 2003" award of "blue chip Corporate Counsel Award" for his contribution to the successful restructuring of UPC.

He has a law degree from Leiden University and attended several postgraduate courses including courses at IMD and Harvard Law School.
